Hey there,

Relatively new to Manhattan and Im looking for information on WMOS supporting logistics. Can HTS and Fabric Content be added to WM via a master data file? We currently use integration point to retreive this data and I was looking for WM/SCI to be a one stop shop for reporting.

Thank you,

Hi Patrick,

I'm not entirely sure what kind of content you're referring to when you say HTS and Fabric Content. I know that our initial load of the item master table was done using a master data file, and all updates after that are taken from our host system using the Item Master Bridge. Similarly with the vendor master table, and other similar style tables. If your data is something that can be stored in an existing Manhattan table, then I'd say that you should be able to load it using a master data file. However, without a deeper understanding of what the data shows and where you might want to store it, it's hard to be more specific.

Hey John,

HTS/HS refer to the codes used by the world customs organization on how to classify internationally traded goods. Fabric content makes up the blend of the merchandise in reference to the the material being shipped. Im looking to see if a master data file containing this information can assist in creating a commercial invoice for shipments between DC's.

Hi Patrick,

I think we have similar case. But, in my case I used store_distro, not item_master

Just my thought:

First, you need to define which field in item_master to be filled by code for HTS/HS and Fabric content. After that, your host need to send correct code to that field in item_master by correct mapping.

When you invoice that item, you need to set up logic in your host or middleware, for item that have parameter item_master HTS/Fabric you need special invoicing process for instance.

You can use that tables and value also (item_master.xxx) as parameter in SCI.

Thank you

Zul

Hello Patrick,

The item master has item classification codes that are used for this purpose. Check out the item master interface documentation.
