Implemented Manhattan's Labor Management several years ago but our Distribution team felt it was to complex for their needs.  Configuration and setup was more than they desired to use on a day to day basis so they abandoned the project after using for one year.

Are there any other software products that integrates with WMi that will take PKMS data and build out any kind of Labor Productivity type information.   PC based or ISeries?

Hello Ricky,

I'm not aware of any formal systems available. We built one for a company a while back, but it is for their use only.

You can use a generic reporting tool, or even excel, to do basic reporting on productivity transactions in the PRTRAN00 file. If I recall and if that file isn't populated, I think there is a warehouse master setting to turn on productivity tracking.

If this is something you may want help with developing, let me know. This is something our team could help you build out.

thanks for your feedback

We did build our own Labor Productivity tracking internally however we went down a path of having to build some customizatin into the PKMS jobs in order to capture all the data we need.  This was done due to one of our DC's we converte to PKMS already had a custom written WMS that included labor tracking and provided productivity information for incentive pay.  In looking back we should have used other master data type configuration files to augment the PKMS transactional data to achieve what we needed.

I want to unwind these customizations within PKMS which is why I was looking for a bolt on applicaiton that could import PKMS data.   The bigger issue is most of this data can be used to track labor but the data is not robust enough by itself to use for productivity performance and incentive pay.

I was hoping someone else had a solution that did not include writing something internally.  We have the programming staff in house to do this but woud prefer a 3rd party software that could be considered.

Makes sense. Sorry, I am not aware of any third part tools to do this unfortunately.
