Hello,

I'm working on a project where a third-party provides an Inventory Reconcillation Info dataset as an XML file. I think this file comes from Log PRO WMS running on an iSeries but I'm not positive. Can any one confirm whether the below XML snipbit looks like XML output that Log PRO WMS would produce?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<InventoryReconciliationInfo>
  <Routing>
    <Sender>Vendor_Name</Sender>
    <Receiver>Comany</Receiver>
    <TransactionBatchNumber>ABCD20160606001</TransactionBatchNumber>
    <Date>2016-06-06</Date>
    <Time>23.30.00</Time>
  </Routing>
  <InventoryReconciliationData>
    <Item>0123456</Item>
    <Description>SOME DESCRIPTION</Description>
    <QuantityOnHand>568</QuantityOnHand>
    <QuantityAvl>568</QuantityAvl>
    <QuantityOnHandInAVL>568</QuantityOnHandInAVL>
    <QuantityAvailableInAVL>568</QuantityAvailableInAVL>
  </InventoryReconciliationData>
  ...
</InventoryReconciliationInfo>

The set of inventory count elements can vary item by item and can include any of the following:

  • QuantityOnHand
  • QuantityInTransit
  • QuantityAvl
  • QuantityOnHandInAVL
  • QuantityAvailableInAVL
  • QuantityInOrderPool
  • QuantityOnHandNotInAVL
  • QuantityAllocated
  • QuantityAvlInRework
  • QuantityOnHandInAssemblyInAVL
  • QuantityOnHandInAssemblyNotInAVL
  • QuantityInOutstandingShipments
  • WIP_OrderQuantity
  • OutstandingInventoryInAVL
  • OutstandingInventoryNotInAVL
  • OutstandingRework
  • OpenReturnGoodQty
  • OpenReturnReworkQty
  • QuantityAvailableNotInAVL

Thank you,
Ben

Hi Ben,

I cannot say for sure, but is there another issue you are trying to solve specifically or are you just more curious what the source system is?

Thanks, Chad, for the quick response. Ultimately, I'm look for definitions for the various inventory count buckets. Definitions would help bring clarity as we try to interpret the XML data (i.e. what's the difference between QuantityAvailable and QuantityAvailableInAVL?). :-)

It seems like in order to find those definitions for those count buckets, I need to first figure out the system they are coming from. From your response, sounds like positive identification may not be possible based off the XML example.

Not from what I can tell Ben. Usually these outputs can be customized for each installation, making it hard to identify the source unfortunately.
